Although it was technology, discovered and available years earlier, it wasn’t until after World War 1 ended that radio signals started buzzing in the US and around the world. In 1920 WWJ in Detroit and KDKA in Pittsburgh were the first licensed radio stations to hit the airwaves…and this was only the beginning.
“Radio Dayz…101 Years of Radio” will chronicle the history of radio from the first celebrities to be created by the medium of radio, thru Top 40 & Payola, all the way up to current day radio programming.
